Perfect Climate Inc.is looking for Heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) mechanic(Residential) Terms: This is a permanent, full time job, which requires working days, evenings, nights, and weekends. Some overtime will be available. Salary: will be $14.00 to $22.00 per hour for a 40 hour week. Education: The applicant should have completed high school, completed college or technical training. Experience: two to three years’ experience. Credentials required: The applicant should have Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic Trade Certification, 4th Period Apprentice, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic Red Seal Certificate, Ozone Depletion Prevention (ODP) Certificate. Major Work Area: Construction, Installation, Maintenance, Service, Repair, Residential Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Systems: Heat pump, Filtration, Air motioning and circulation, Built up (split system), Humidification and de-humidification systems, Ventilation Control Systems: Energy conservation, Electrical devices, Electronic and solid state Specific Skills: Measure and lay out reference points for installation, Assemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning components, Measure, cut and connect piping using welding and brazing equipment, Commission systems and test for leaks using testing devices, Perform routine maintenance and servicing, Install, troubleshoot, repair and overhaul entire heating, ventilation, air handling, refrigeration and air conditioning systems, Handle, recover and store refrigerants, Install, calibrate and repair control systems, Test and repair electronic components Additional Skills: Customer service oriented, Coach and instruct apprentices Security and Safety: Basic security clearance, Criminal record check, Driver’s validity license check Own Tools/Equipment: Tools, Steel-toed safety boots Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, Handling heavy loads, Standing for extended periods, Bending, crouching, kneeling Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver’s licence, Vehicle supplied by employer Work Location Information: On-site customer service Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Finding information, Computer use, Continuous learning Languages: Other than English, the applicant should speak French, read French.
