Terms: This is a permanent, part time job, which requires working nights and weekends. Shift work is involved.

Credentials required: The applicant should have Driver’s Licence (Class 1 or A), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.

Type of Travel: Short-haul, Local, Regional, Provincial/territorial

Documentation Knowledge: Driver logbook, Bill of lading, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Maintenance and repair reports, Trip reports, Accident or incident reports, Dangerous goods occurrence reports

Communication Equipment Experience: Citizens band (CB) radio, Satellite tracking (GPS) equipment

Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Specific Skills: Loading and unloading of goods

Additional Skills: Professionalism in customer service

Security and Safety: Bondable, Basic security clearance, Criminal record check, Driving record check (abstract), Medical exam, Drug test

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots

Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Finding information, Continuous learning

Other Information: The salary for this position is paid rate per mile, plus picks, drops and other incentives.
